Questions

About UV printing, files, sizes and timing.

What is UV printing?

UV printing puts ink straight onto an item and hardens it right away with ultraviolet light. Because the ink sits on top instead of soaking in, it works on plastic, metal, glass, acrylic, wood and leather.

Will the print scratch or wash off?

UV ink cures hard and bonds to most materials. Some smooth surfaces like glass and metal get a primer first so the print holds up to daily use.

Can you print white?

Yes. White is laid down under the color on dark, clear or colored items so the colors stay bright.

What is raised gloss?

Clear ink printed in layers so it stands up off the surface. It makes a logo or text shiny and something you can feel.

Do you print on tumblers?

Yes, on the rotary attachment, which turns the tumbler under the heads so the print wraps around. Send us the tumbler size with your request.

What file should I send?

A vector file (PDF, AI or EPS) is best for logos and text. For photos, send the largest JPG or PNG you have. If the file will not print well, we will tell you before we start.

Is there a minimum order?

No. We print single gifts and runs of hundreds. The price per piece drops as more fit on the bed in one pass.

How long does it take?

You get a price and a date within one business day of sending your request. The date depends on the size of the run and what is already in the queue.
